ICL 1900 PERT – 50th Anniversary

1900 PERT, the definitive version of the ICL mainframe PERT software systems, was released on the 11^th January 1966 by a team that included Raf Dua.

British Tabulator Machines (BTM) one of the forebears of ICL (and Raf) were involved in the earliest days of the PERT development in the USA, providing tabulating machines used to process the punch cards that held the schedule data.

The computer I used at college was an Elliott-Automation Mainframe.

The 1900 PERT code was later used to develop the Micro Planner range of software, the first version being released on the Apple II in 1980 I managed the Australasian part of the Micro Planner business from 1987 to 1999.
